Risk
It is a combination of probable losses (fatalities, injuries, economic damage) arising from the interaction of hazard, exposure, and vulnerability. Risk can be simply expressed by the formula: Risk = Hazard x Exposure x Vulnerability. The main conclusion is: we cannot control the hazard (e.g., stop an earthquake), but we can reduce risk by managing exposure (e.g., not building in a hazard zone) and reducing vulnerability (e.g., building stronger buildings, creating warning systems, educating the public).

Rizika (angl. Risk)
