Mikėlis's son, born and raised in Königsberg, who became a school inspector. Although he is German, he feels an inexplicable attraction to his ancestors' land. Having visited Aukštujai, he idealizes Urtė as a "golden-haired noblewoman," but upon learning the truth, he becomes disillusioned.
