Šioje pamokoje nagrinėjama alkenų erdvinė izomerija dėl apriboto sukimosi apie C=C ryšį. Kiekvienas šio ryšio C turi turėti du skirtingus pakaitus. Paprastais pavyzdžiais, tokiais kaip but-2-enas, cis ir trans skiriami pagal vienodų pakaitų padėtį toje pačioje arba priešingose ryšio pusėse.
