Beta Program Terms of Use

Last updated: 9 June 2026

These terms apply to Edukamentas beta programs, pilots, demo features, early-access features, and features marked in the Service as beta, experimental, trial, or similar. They supplement the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Subprocessor List, and, where applicable, a separate Schools agreement or data processing agreement.

1. What is a beta feature

A beta feature is an Edukamentas feature that is still being developed, tested or changed. It may be free, included in a paid plan, provided to a particular school or organization, or enabled only for selected users. We may identify beta status in a product window, on a page, in the app, by email, in an agreement or in another notice.

Beta features may be unstable, change without prior notice, contain errors, be inaccurate, have limited quotas, work only for certain accounts, devices or plans, or be removed. Beta access does not create a right to require that a feature be retained, released publicly, supported in a particular way or remain free.

2. Use of beta feature data

Use of a beta feature is conditional: if you do not agree to the beta data use described in this section, do not use the beta feature. To the extent permitted by applicable law and needed to build, fix, understand and protect the feature, we may collect, store, review and analyze a broad range of information related to it.

Beta data may include submitted text, answers, essays, requests, prompts, files, exercises, AI responses, automated assessments, scores, bug reports, review history, clicks, likes or dislikes, comments, feedback, screen context, technical logs, model or prompt versions, device, browser, app, session and IP information, performance, error, security and abuse signals, and context related to support requests.

We may use this data to operate the beta feature, fix errors, assure quality, improve the product and prompts, plan features, maintain security, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, protect legal interests, provide support and conduct internal analysis. We do not use it to sell to third parties, create advertising profiles or conduct unrelated marketing.

Beta data may be pseudonymized, aggregated, masked or anonymized where practical, but it will not always be anonymous. If a person can be identified directly or indirectly using data we hold or can reasonably access, that data remains personal data and is handled under the Privacy Policy.

3. Self-service, B2C, B2B / B2G and Schools use

Self-service beta users and other users outside the Schools context grant the broadest rights under these terms to use beta data for product development and quality assurance. For ordinary self-service users who do not use beta features, data use is narrower: data may be stored and shown in their account as needed for the relevant feature, but is not used to train AI models.

Schools, B2B and B2G use is limited by the applicable agreement, data processing agreement, order form or pilot terms. Unless such an agreement says otherwise, work, answers and identifiable assessment data submitted by students in schools and organizations are not used to improve the general product in a way that takes them outside the context of serving that organization, security, error correction, compliance or contract performance.

Even in beta, Edukamentas does not make official assessment, grading, examination, promotion, admission, disciplinary or other school decisions. AI or automated outputs are system calculations, signals or recommendations. The school, teacher or other competent institution must review them and independently make the final decision under its own rules.

4. License for user content and feedback

You retain rights to content you upload or submit. By submitting content to a beta feature or providing feedback, you grant Edukamentas a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license, transferable to the extent needed by our service providers, to host, store, copy, process, transform, analyze, display it to you or your organization, generate outputs, create derivative technical artifacts, compare results, fix errors, improve prompts, build product features and use feedback without additional payment.

This license also applies to non-beta features when you voluntarily submit feedback, a bug report, suggestion, screenshot, example, rating, comment or support request. We may use that information to develop the product, improve prompts and rules, fix errors and assure quality, even if the feature is not beta.

If a feature lets you save content in your account, such as writing-tool history, this license lets us show it to you, synchronize it across your devices, keep backups and provide related outputs as needed for the feature. We do not acquire ownership of your original content.

5. AI models, prompts and third parties

Edukamentas generally develops and improves product logic, rules, prompts, assessment rubrics, task flows and user experience rather than general-purpose AI models. Beta data may be used for this product and prompt improvement.

We do not sell your beta content or use it for advertising profiles. When a beta feature needs providers, such as infrastructure, support, translation, error monitoring or AI services, data may be shared with them under the Privacy Policy and the Subprocessor List. We do not authorize providers to use your content for unrelated marketing.

Identifiable user-submitted text, answers or files are not used to train third-party general-purpose models unless a specific school or organization agreement, the user’s explicit choice or mandatory law clearly permits it. We may use pseudonymized, aggregated, masked or, where possible, anonymized artifacts for internal product quality.

6. Confidentiality in private beta programs

If a beta program or feature is not publicly available, you agree to keep confidential information about its functionality, design, screens, pricing, limits, testing instructions, technical solutions, documentation and other non-public information. Without our written consent, you may not publish it, share screenshots, recordings or technical details, give access to third parties or use the information for competitive purposes.

This confidentiality duty does not apply to information that is already lawfully public, that you independently possessed without a confidentiality duty, or that you must disclose by law.

7. No reliability, SLA or assessment guarantee

Beta features are provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no promise of guaranteed uptime, response time, continued availability, accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose, unless a separate paid organizational agreement expressly says otherwise.

Beta features—including writing, VBE, PUPP, open-answer assessment, AI explanation and exercise-generation features—must not be relied on as an official grade, exam result, school decision or guaranteed prediction.

8. End of access and data retention

Beta access may end when testing ends, a feature is disabled, a plan changes, a school or organization pilot ends, you are no longer eligible, your account is deleted, you breach the terms or we decide to end access. A beta feature may become paid, limited, public, non-beta or be discontinued entirely.

After beta testing ends, we generally stop using the specific beta archive for active day-to-day product improvement, except as needed to fix a bug, resolve a dispute, handle a security incident or abuse, address a legal issue, restore history, support a feature saved in an account, or use artifacts that are already aggregated, pseudonymized or anonymized. We may retain beta archives for up to 5 years after the relevant program or feature test ends, unless a shorter or longer period applies under an agreement, the Privacy Policy, a legal duty, a dispute or a security need.

If content is saved in your account and the feature continues to let you view or use it, we may retain it while the account or feature is active and as needed to provide that account feature, even after beta testing ends.

9. Breach and misuse

Beta access does not permit you to bypass limits, share accounts, automate use, collect data, try to extract system prompts, attack infrastructure, misuse provider costs, publish unlawful content or breach other Terms of Service. If we identify misuse, we may limit, suspend or end the beta feature, account or organization access without discretionary reward or compensation, unless mandatory law requires otherwise in the circumstances.
